Greetings,
I’m Desiree Charbonnet, and I am a candidate for Judge of the Orleans Parish Municipal Court.
My qualifications include degrees from both Loyola University and the Loyola University School of Law. Professionally, I have over 10 years of legal experience as an attorney with Charbonnet Law Firm. And for the past 9 years, I have served as your Recorder of Mortgages.
In addition to my responsibilities as a public official, attorney, and wife, I enjoy the time I spend in service as President of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Louisiana.
I strongly believe that the Municipal Court should become a more active part of the criminal justice system and the war against crime in our city. The Municipal Court should be used to lessen the case load and burden on the State Criminal Court system by diverting non-violent offenders from the criminal justice system.
The election for this office will be on Saturday, October 20th and I ask that you consider voting for me, Desiree Charbonnet #81, for Judge of the Orleans Parish Municipal Court.
Sincerely,
Desiree Charbonnet
